Sleeping Dogs – a rare originalChart-Track has released a list of the UK’s top 100 selling video games in the UK last year. The information was released to, although as ever there was no sales figures.The top 20 has, but according to Chart-Track Black Ops II and FIFA 13 were the only games to sell more than 1 million boxed copies last year (none of this information takes into account digital sales).That’s compared to five in 2011: Skyrim, Zumba Fitness, FIFA 12, Modern Warfare 3, and Battlefield 3. How far behind the other games were though is impossible to say without actual numbers.What’s definitely not good news though is that 41 of the top 100 games were released before 2012, underlining just how few triple-A titles were released last year. Even worse than that only five games in the top 100 are new IP (intellectual property), i.e. Not a sequel or licence.
